WHAT: Mobile browsing made easy and cheap
Are you tired of trying to browse websites with your mobile device and getting mobile unfriendly content? You are not alone. The goal of BareSite.com is to make mobile browsing easy and cheap. While an increasing amount of publishers make their content available for mobile devices, over 98% of websites still are not ready for mobile browsing. With BareSite.com, we intend to change that. We strip all unneeded content from normal websites, and make them mobile-friendly. Browsing is easier, and costs are lower due to lower bandwith usage.

WHY USE BARESITE: User friendly, no registration & support for feeds
There are some other services out there that "crunch" websites in order to be viewed by mobile devices. They are very good, and probably have many more developers available than we do. So, why choose BareSite?
- We do not require users to register to set preferences
- We give you handy one click lists (favorites, most visited, last visited, etc.)
- We crunch sites way more, making browsing cheaper
- We support RSS feeds (automatic recognition)
- We are highly customizable by setting preferences
- We let you choose your favorite search engine

WHO: Three guys trying to create a useful product
What started as a small project, just for ourselves, has evolved into a fun app available for anyone to use. As we are all students, we can work on BareSite almost fulltime (we know, we should study hard), which gives us the chance to increase quality fast. Hoping we can help people to finally start using their mobile devices for what they can be used for: easy browsing of useful content.

HOW: Webbased mobile optimizing instead of browserbased
BareSite.com is a webbased solution for optimizing pages for mobile devices. While there are other solutions available - such as Opera Mini - they are browser based and often need to be downloaded to a mobile first. BareSite.com requires no download and no installation.
